INQAAHE Conference in Madrid
4-7 April, 2011, The International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) will organize its biennial Conference "Quality Assurance: Foundation for the Future" in Madrid, Spain.
The conference will be hosted by The National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
The conference will provide discussion on four subthemes:
· Globalizing forces and national/regional goals in higher education: emerging issues
· Professionalization of quality assurance
· Effective QA processes for diversity, development and sustainability
· Independence of QA vis a vis different stakeholders.

ENQA's Members Forum
The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) is holding 1st ENQA Members' Forum, 4 March 2011, The Hague, Netherlands.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
The Members' Forum aims at strengthening the role of Association members in the internal decision-making process of ENQA and in the work that is carried out by the Board.
The Members' Forum 2011 will deal with two additional issues:
- Quality Assurance and Transparency Tools
- Membership structure.
The Members' Forum is open to all ENQA members, associates and affiliates.

Kazakhstan officially joined the Bologna Declaration.
This happened at the session of the Second European Forum of Education Ministers held in Budapest on March 11, 2010. The country’s accession to the Bologna Process was supported by representatives of 46 countries - signatories of the Bologna Declaration. This implies integration of Kazakhstan in the European Higher Education Area. Congratulations to our colleagues!
