A High-level Conference organized on the initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO) with the support of UNESCO took place in Paris, France on December 7-8.

The Conference brought together representatives of the health, education, social and other relevant sectors, United Nations agencies, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and other international organizations as well as civil society organizations.

The issues of intersectoral collaboration for health and well-being of people in the countries of the European region were the focal point of discussions at the Conference.

G.N. Motova, Deputy Director of NCPA was invited to participate with the presentation on the intersectoral collaboration on the quality assurance of labour force in Russia.

228 participants from 42 member countries -  experts, observers and representatives of 9 world and European organizations including the World Bank, the European Commission, UNESCO and  UNICEF took part  in the Conference.

At one of the plenary sessions a draft joint Declaration “Partnerships for health and well-being of young and future generations” was discussed. The Declaration is expected to be signed in 2017.
