On September 24 – 26, 2018 an international external review of two clusters of educational programmes delivered by Chelyabinsk State University was held. The programmes under accreditation were:
- «Foreign Regional Studies» (41.03.01), «Politology» (41.03.04, 41.04.04), «International Relations» (41.03.05, 41.04.05), « History» (46.03.01, 46.04.01), «Historical Studies and Archeology» (46.06.01);
- «Philology» (45.03.01, 45.04.01), «Pedagogical Education (with two programme specializations)» (44.03.05), «Pedagogical Education» (44.04.01), «Linguistics» (45.03.02, 45.04.02), «Translation and Theory of Translation» (45.05.01), «Language Studies and Literature Studies» (45.06.01), further education programme «Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons Preparation to Study Professional Educational Programmes in Russian».

The External Review Panel involved foreign and Russian experts, representatives of professional communities and students. During three days of work meetings with the University administration, Heads of subdivisions responsible for programmes implementation, teachers, students, postgraduate students, graduates and employers were held.

Summary reports and recommendations on further development of the programmes based on the results of the external review will be prepared. Decision about public accreditation of the educational programmes will be made at the meeting of the National Accreditation Board.
