External Review of the Educational Programmes of Pushkin State Russian Language Institute

On October 30 – November 1, 2018 an external review of the cluster of educational programmes delivered by Pushkin State Russian Language Institute was held. The programmes under accreditation were: «Philology» (45.03.01, 45.04.01), «Education and Pedagogical Sciences» (44.06.01), «Linguistics and Literature Studies» (45.06.01), further education programmes «Methods of Teaching the Russian Language as a Foreign Language», «Summer School. Russian as a Foreign language and Methods of Teaching», «Practical Course of Russian as a Foreign Language», «Summer School. Practical Course of Russian as a Foreign Language», «Preparation of Foreign Residents and Stateless People for the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in the Russian Language (Humanities)»,«Preparation of Foreign Residents and Stateless People for the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in the Russian Language (Economic Sciences)».

The External Review Panel involved foreign and Russian experts, representatives of professional communities and students. During three days of work meetings with the University administration, Heads of subdivisions responsible for programmes implementation, teachers, students, postgraduate students, graduates and employers were held.

Summary reports and recommendations on further development of the programmes based on the results of the external review will be prepared. Decision about public accreditation of the educational programmes will be made at the meeting of the National Accreditation Board.
