CEENQA General Assembly 2020

The General Assembly of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) took place on July 17, 2020. The meeting was held as a web-conference. Representatives from 23 accreditation agencies participated in the event.

The key presentation of the meeting was given by G. Motova, Deputy Director of the National Centre for Public Accreditation. It was devoted to the results of a survey on the influence of COVID-19 on quality assurance agencies from different countries. 34 European agencies (ENQA and CEENQA members) and 32 Asian agencies (APQN members) took part in the survey.

Besides, changes in the procedures of accreditation agencies were discussed. The participants shared best practices concerning online reviews and discussed the perspectives of using new remote tools in higher education evaluation.

The election of the President was held at the meeting. Franci Demsar, Director of the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (SQAA- NAKVIS) will be in charge for the following 2 years.

As of July 2020 CEENQA comprises 41 accreditation agencies from 26 countries. Nowadays Russia is represented only by 2 accreditation agencies – NCPA and ARSA. NAA and AKKORK were removed from CEENQA members.
