V International Educational Forum «Altai-Asia 2022»

On September 15-17, 2022 the V International Educational Forum «Altai-Asia 2022: Eurasian Educational Space – New Challenges and Best Practices» was held in Barnaul on the basis of Altai State University. NCPA was represented by Vladimir Navodnov, Director, and Petr Korotkov, Head of the Accreditation Office. They delivered a presentation «Aggregated rankings as a new tool of independent evaluation of education quality».

The Forum was organized by Altai State University together with Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, SCO University, Association of Asian Universities. It was held as part of the federal academic leadership programme «Priority 2030» supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The Forum united more than 3000 people online and offline. More than 300 representatives from 150 Russian and 60 foreign universities participated in plenary sessions offline. During three days strategic sessions and programme events were a business and communication platform for sharing experiences, discussing up-to-date issues of internationalization and development of higher education in a changing international context.

This year the Forum programme included four expert sessions:

  • Internationalization of higher education in a changing international context: transformation of strategic approaches in the international activities of universities and the search for anti-crisis solutions;
  • The main trends in the network cooperation of universities in the Russian-Asian scientific and educational space: strategic priorities and forms of partnerships. Current status and prospects;
  • Digital transformation and scenarios for the development of higher education in the international context;
  • “Internal” internationalization: the importance of international cooperation at the local level.

Over the years the Forum has earned great reputation and recognition in expert circles and became a solid ground of friendly relations in the international academic environment.
