Presentation of the National Aggregated Ranking by Subject

International accreditation along with the rankings becomes a more valuable tool for evaluation and recognition of quality of educational programmes and engagement of foreign students. Until recently these tools were not directly interrelated as rankings were built in relation to HEIs. However, with the development of rankings by subject these two approaches start enhancing each other.

 

Activity Report on DEQAR CONNECT project

April 2021 marked the first anniversary of the DEQAR CONNECT project. The DEQAR CONNECT project is coordinated by the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) and is carried out under the Erasmus+ programme with EU co-funding. The main goal of the project is to expand coverage to EHEA countries currently under-represented in DEQAR. The project partners are 21 accreditation agencies in the EHEA. Russia is represented by the National Centre for Public Accreditation.

 

ENQA and QAA Webinar

On March 18, 2021, the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) together with the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA, UK) held a webinar «Protecting and promoting academic integrity: How quality assurance agencies can take action».

 

A ranking by subject based on the cumulative Hirsch index is published

Hirsch index is a source of pride for some people and a target of criticism for the others. Nevertheless, it is one of the objective indicators of research capacity, which shows the number of well cited works of a researcher – a teacher from a higher education institution. An insight into the Hirsch index from the perspective of subject areas helps to learn many interesting things about a HEI in whole and opportunities in subject areas in particular.

 

CEENQA Bi-Monthly Meeting

On March 17, 2021 a bi-monthly meeting of members of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) was held. The aim of the meeting is to discuss current and important issues in quality assurance of higher education. The event was held remotely.
