New Model of State Control (Supervision) in Education

On October 2, 2019 the Agency for Strategic Initiatives «Tochka Kipeniia» (Moscow) at Higher School of Economics together with the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science held the seminar «New Model of State Control (Supervision) in Education under the Mechanism of a «Regulatory Guillotine».

 

Annual IREG Conference

This year the 20th anniversary of the Bologna process will be celebrated by a series of international conferences. In early May the first one of them was held – annual conference of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. The conference «Rankings: A Challenge to Higher Education?» took place at the University of Bologna, the oldest university in Europe. 155 representatives of rating and accreditation agencies, leading universities and mass media participated in the event.

The network of accreditation agencies of the Asia-Pacific Region is one of the largest in the world. It is not surprising as almost the half of human population lives there. For this reason the 15th conference held in Colombo (Sri Lanka) aroused great interest of the regional academic community.

 

9th ENQA Forum

On April 24-26, 2019 the 9th Forum of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, ENQA was held in Tallinn (Estonia) at Tallinn University. The Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education, EKKA hosted the event.

 

15th INQAAHE Conference

On March 25-28, 2019 the 15th Conference of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education, INQAAHE was held in Colombo (Sri Lanka). It is held once every two years. This year more than 300 representatives of accreditation agencies and experts in education quality evaluation participated in the event. Speaker of Parliament and Minister of Education of Sri Lanka opened the first day of the conference with a welcome speech.
